The Buddha teaches us that true freedom comes from learning to let go of attachments. Attachment to material possessions, relationships, or ideas binds us to the cycle of suffering. When we cling to things that are impermanent, we set ourselves up for disappointment and pain. By releasing our attachments, we free ourselves from these limitations and open ourselves up to a higher state of being.
