The path of righteousness is the path of duty, selflessness and devotion. It is the path of selfless action, performed without attachment to the fruits of the actions. It is the path of surrendering oneself to the Divine Will, and performing one's duties without any selfish motives. Choosing the path of righteousness means following one's dharma, or duty, with sincerity and dedication. It means acting in accordance with one's true nature and fulfilling one's responsibilities towards oneself and others. It means living a life of integrity, honesty and compassion, and treating all beings with respect and kindness.
