Patience is a key quality to cultivate in the practice of meditation. When we are patient, we are able to sit with discomfort and uncertainty without reacting impulsively. This quality of patience allows us to develop greater concentration in our meditation practice. When we are patient, we are able to stay present with whatever arises in our minds and bodies during meditation. Instead of getting caught up in thoughts or emotions and becoming distracted, we can simply observe them with a sense of curiosity and openness.
