True intelligence is not limited by knowledge or experience from "summary" of The Awakening of Intelligence by J. KRISHNAMURTI

Intelligence is often equated with knowledge and experience, but true intelligence goes beyond these limitations. The mind that is filled with knowledge and experiences is like a closed book, unable to see beyond its own boundaries. It is important to understand that knowledge is always limited and can never encompass the totality of existence. True intelligence is the ability to see things as they are, without the filter of past conditioning or preconceived ideas. It is the capacity to perceive the truth directly, without the interference of thought. This kind of intelligence is not dependent on memory or past experiences; it operates in the present moment, in direct communion with what is. Knowledge and experience can be useful tools, but they can also be hindrances to true intelligence. When the mind is burdened with accumulated knowledge, it becomes rigid and closed to new possibilities. Similarly, when one is bound by past experiences, one is unable to see things afresh. True intelligence is the ability to approach each moment with a beginner's mind, free from the weight of the past. The awakening of intelligence is the process of freeing the mind from the limitations of knowledge and experience. It is a journey of self-discovery, of uncovering the innate intelligence that lies within each one of us. This kind of intelligence is not acquired through study or practice; it is a natural quality of the mind that is waiting to be awakened. In order to cultivate true intelligence, one must be willing to let go of the known and venture into the unknown. This requires a certain courage and humility, a willingness to admit that one does not have all the answers. True intelligence is not about having all the right answers; it is about asking the right questions and being open to the mysteries of life.
  1. True intelligence is the ability to see beyond the limitations of knowledge and experience, to perceive the deeper truths that lie beneath the surface of things. It is the capacity to live in harmony with the ever-changing flux of life, without being bogged down by the past. True intelligence is a quality of the heart as much as the mind, a way of being in the world that is marked by clarity, compassion, and insight.
