Intelligence is not a result of comparison or imitation from "summary" of The Awakening of Intelligence by J. KRISHNAMURTI
Intelligence is not a byproduct of comparison or imitation. This may seem counterintuitive at first, as we are often taught to measure our intelligence against others or try to emulate those we perceive as intelligent. However, true intelligence goes beyond these external markers. When we constantly compare ourselves to others, we limit our own potential. We become focused on outdoing someone else rather than exploring our unique abilities and strengths. This constant comparison creates a sense of competition and breeds insecurity, as we are always seeking validation from external sources. In the process, we lose touch with our authentic selves and the true essence of intelligence. Similarly, imitation may seem like a shortcut to intelligence, as we can mimic the actions and behaviors of those we perceive as smart. However, this only leads to a superficial understanding of intelligence. True intelligence comes from self-discovery and inner reflection, not from copying the actions of others. By letting go of the need for comparison and imitation, we open ourselves up to a deeper understanding of intelligence. We are able to tap into our own innate wisdom and intuition, rather than relying on external validation. This process of self-discovery is not always easy, as it requires us to confront our own insecurities and fears. But in doing so, we can unlock our true potential and cultivate a more authentic form of intelligence.Similar Posts
