When we find ourselves in the midst of conflict, our natural inclination is often to blame others for the situation at hand. We point fingers, make accusations, and focus on the ways in which we have been wronged. In doing so, we fail to see our own role in perpetuating the conflict. We fail to acknowledge the ways in which our actions, our words, and our attitudes have contributed to the breakdown in communication and understanding.
