Love is a continuous effort, not a onetime event from "summary" of The 5 Love Languages of Children by Gary Chapman,Ross Campbell

Love is not a one-time event that simply happens and then is over. It requires ongoing effort and commitment. In the same way that a plant needs water and sunlight regularly to thrive, love needs to be nurtured and tended to consistently. It is not enough to say "I love you" once and expect that to be sufficient for a lifetime. Love is a verb, an action that must be demonstrated through words, gestures, and behaviors on a daily basis. When we understand that love is a continuous effort, we can begin to see the importance of showing love in multiple ways. Each of us has a unique love language that speaks to us most deeply. For some, physical touch is the most powerful way to feel loved. For others, words of affirmation or acts of service may be more meaningful. By learning our children's love languages and speaking to them in ways that resonate with their hearts, we can truly show them that we love them consistently and authentically. It is important to remember that love is not a one-size-fits-all concept. What works for one child may not work for another. By taking the time to understand each child's individual needs and preferences, we can tailor our expressions of love to meet them where they are. This may require us to step out of our comfort zones and try new ways of showing love, but the effort will be well worth it in the end. In a world where distractions and busyness abound, it can be easy to let our relationships slide and neglect the effort required to maintain them. However, when we prioritize love and make it a continual focus in our lives, we can strengthen our bonds with our children and create a foundation of trust and security that will last a lifetime. Love is not a one-time event, but a lifelong journey that requires dedication, patience, and a willingness to grow and evolve.
