Trust within a team is built through consistent actions from "summary" of The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork by John C. Maxwell

Trust within a team is not something that can be built overnight. It requires consistent actions over time to establish a strong foundation of trust among team members. Trust is not just about words, but about actions that demonstrate reliability, consistency, and integrity. It is about following through on commitments, being transparent in communication, and showing up for one another when it matters most. Trust is like a bank account - it takes time to build up a reserve of trust through positive interactions and experiences. Each time a team member follows through on a commitment or demonstrates integrity in their actions, they make a deposit into the trust bank account. On the flip side, when a team member fails to deliver on their promises or acts in a way that undermines trust, they make a withdrawal from the trust account. Consistency is key in building trust within a team. It is not enough to demonstrate trustworthiness once in a while - it must be a consistent pattern of behavior that team members can rely on. When team members can predict how their colleagues will act in various situations, they feel more secure and are more likely to trust them. Trust is also a reciprocal relationship - it requires mutual respect and understanding among team members. When team members feel respected and valued by their colleagues, they are more likely to trust them and work together effectively. Trust is a two-way street that requires effort and commitment from all team members to maintain.
  1. Trust within a team is not something that can be forced or rushed. It takes time, effort, and consistent actions to build a strong foundation of trust among team members. When team members demonstrate reliability, consistency, and integrity in their actions, they contribute to a positive team culture built on trust and mutual respect.
