Persistence is key in overcoming obstacles from "summary" of Take the Risk by Ben Carson, M.D.
One of the most important traits one can possess when faced with obstacles is persistence. This quality allows an individual to keep pushing forward, even when faced with challenges that seem insurmountable. In my own life, I have encountered many obstacles that could have easily derailed me from my goals. However, through persistence, I was able to overcome these challenges and ultimately achieve success. Persistence is not about being stubborn or refusing to change course when necessary. Instead, it is about having the determination to keep moving forward, even when the path ahead is unclear. This kind of persistence requires a strong belief in oneself and a willingness to put in the hard work necessary to achieve one's goals. In my book 'Take the Risk', I discuss the importance of taking calculated risks in order to achieve success. This requires a great deal of persistence, as taking risks often means facing failure and setbacks along the way. However, those who are persistent are able to learn from their failures and use them as stepping stones to future success. When faced with obstacles, it can be easy to become discouraged and want to give up. However, those who are persistent are able to maintain a positive attitude and keep moving forward, even when the going gets tough. This kind of persistence is what sets successful individuals apart from those who are not able to overcome obstacles in their path.- Persistence is a key trait that is essential for overcoming obstacles and achieving success. It requires determination, hard work, and a positive attitude. By remaining persistent in the face of challenges, individuals can overcome any obstacle that stands in their way and ultimately achieve their goals.
