Be kind to yourself and practice selfcompassion from "summary" of Strong As a Mother by Kate Rope

It's all too easy to be hard on yourself when you become a mother. The pressure to be perfect, to have it all together, can be overwhelming. But the truth is, nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes, we all have our moments of doubt and insecurity. And that's okay. It's important to remember that you are human. You are doing the best you can, and that's all anyone can ask of you. Practicing self-compassion is vital in those moments when you feel like you're not measuring up. It means being gentle with yourself, forgiving yourself for your imperfections, and treating yourself with the same kindness and understanding that you would offer to a friend in need. It's about recognizing that you are worthy of love and kindness, just as you are. When you practice self-compassion, you are better able to cope with the challenges of motherhood. You are more resilient, more able to bounce back when things don't go as planned. You are better equipped to handle the inevitable ups and downs that come with raising children. And most importantly, you are better able to care for your child, because you are caring for yourself. So take a moment to check in with yourself. Are you being kind to yourself? Are you practicing self-compassion? If not, try to shift your perspective. Treat yourself with the same love and understanding that you offer to others. Remember that you are doing the best you can, and that is always enough. Trust in yourself, believe in yourself, and know that you are strong as a mother.
