Prophet Salih warns Thamud from "summary" of Stories of the Prophets by Ismāʻīl ibn ʻUmar Ibn Kathīr
Prophet Salih was sent by Allah to the people of Thamud, who lived in the city of Al-Hijr. These people were given much wealth and abundance by Allah, but they became arrogant and began to worship idols. Prophet Salih warned them to worship Allah alone and to follow his guidance, but they rejected his message and continued in their disbelief. Despite their rejection, Prophet Salih remained patient and continued to advise the people of Thamud. He reminded them of the signs of Allah and the blessings He had bestowed upon them. He warned them of the consequences of their actions and urged them to repent before it was too late.
