Prophet Muhammad's prophethood from "summary" of Stories of the Prophets by Ismāʻīl ibn ʻUmar Ibn Kathīr
Prophet Muhammad was chosen by Allah to be His final messenger to humanity. His prophethood was a continuation of the message brought by previous prophets, such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. The Quran describes Prophet Muhammad as a mercy to all of mankind, bringing guidance and wisdom to lead people on the right path. Before receiving his prophethood, Muhammad led a simple life as a trader in Makkah. However, at the age of forty, he began to receive revelations from Allah through the angel Gabriel. These revelations formed the basis of the Quran, the holy book of Islam. Prophet Muhammad was illiterate, yet he delivered the message of the Quran with eloquence and clarity. Despite facing persecution and hardship, Prophet Muhammad remained steadfast in his mission to spread the message of Islam. He faced opposition from the Quraysh, the powerful tribe in Makkah, who rejected his message and sought to undermine his efforts. However, he continued to preach the oneness of Allah and the importance of faith, patience, and good deeds. Prophet Muhammad's prophethood was characterized by his compassion, humility, and dedication to serving others. He cared for the poor, the oppressed, and the marginalized in society. He promoted justice, equality, and compassion towards all people, regardless of their background or beliefs. Through his teachings and example, Prophet Muhammad inspired his followers to live righteous and ethical lives. He emphasized the importance of worshiping Allah alone, treating others with kindness and respect, and upholding moral values. His legacy continues to influence millions of people around the world, guiding them towards a life of piety, righteousness, and devotion to Allah.Similar Posts
