Prophet Hud's warning to people from "summary" of Stories of the Prophets by Ismāʻīl ibn ʻUmar Ibn Kathīr

Prophet Hud was sent to the people of 'Ad, who were known for their physical strength and power. Despite their strength, they were arrogant and rebellious towards Allah. Prophet Hud warned them of the consequences of their actions and reminded them to worship Allah alone. He urged them to repent and seek forgiveness before it was too late. The people of 'Ad, however, refused to listen to Prophet Hud and continued in their disbelief. They mocked him and challenged him to bring down the punishment he warned them about. Prophet Hud remained patient and continued to deliver the message of Allah, even in the face of adversity. As a final warning, Prophet Hud told the people of 'Ad that he had delivered his message and fulfilled his duty as a messenger of Allah. He warned them that if they continued in their disobedience, they would face a severe punishment from Allah. Despite his best efforts, the people of 'Ad persisted in their ways and were ultimately destroyed by a powerful wind that Allah sent upon them. The story of Prophet Hud's warning to the people serves as a reminder of the consequences of arrogance and disobedience towards Allah. It shows the importance of heeding the warnings of the prophets and turning back to Allah before it is too late. Prophet Hud's patience and determination in delivering the message of Allah despite facing rejection and ridicule is a lesson for all believers to remain steadfast in their faith and continue to spread the message of Islam, no matter the obstacles they may face.
