The Parting of the Red Sea from "summary" of Stories of the Prophets (Peace be upon them) by Imam Imaduddin Isma’il Ibn Kathir

When the Children of Israel were being pursued by the armies of Pharaoh, they found themselves trapped between the Red Sea and their enemies. They were in a state of despair, fearing capture or death at the hands of Pharaoh's soldiers. At that moment, Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) raised his staff and called upon Allah for help. Allah then commanded Prophet Musa to strike the sea with his staff, and as soon as he did so, a miracle occurred. The sea parted into two massive walls of water, leaving a dry path in the midst of the sea. The Children of Israel, along with Prophet Musa, were able to cross this path safely, while the pursuing army of Pharaoh was engulfed by the walls of water as they tried to follow. The sea closed back in on them, drowning Pharaoh and his soldiers, thus delivering the Children of Israel from their oppressors. This miraculous event not only saved the Children of Israel from imminent destruction but also served as a powerful demonstration of the power and mercy of Allah. It showed that no matter how dire the situation may seem, Allah has the ability to intervene and bring about deliverance for those who put their trust in Him. The Parting of the Red Sea remains a testament to the faith and obedience of Prophet Musa and the miraculous nature of Allah's help in times of need.
