Prophet Muhammad's Death from "summary" of Stories of the Prophets (Peace be upon them) by Imam Imaduddin Isma’il Ibn Kathir
The Day the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (peace be upon him), left this world was a day that brought great sadness to his companions and followers. The news of his illness had spread throughout Madinah, and the people were filled with grief at the thought of losing their beloved Prophet. The Messenger of Allah suffered greatly in his final days, but he remained patient and steadfast in his faith. As his condition worsened, the companions gathered around him, seeking his guidance and wisdom for the last time. On the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal, in the eleventh year of the Hijrah, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) passed away. The news of his death spread quickly, and the people of Madinah were overcome with sorrow. The companions were in shock at the loss of their beloved leader, teacher, and guide. Abu Bakr, the closest companion of the Prophet, was deeply affected by his death. He went to the Prophet's house and kissed his forehead, saying, "How blessed you are in life and in death, O Messenger of Allah. You tasted the sweetness of worship and now you have been blessed with the mercy of your Lord." The companions were filled with grief and uncertainty at the thought of carrying on without the Prophet to guide them. Abu Bakr addressed the people, reminding them of their duty to remain steadfast in their faith and to continue following the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The death of the Prophet Muhammad marked the end of an era, but his legacy would live on through his companions and followers. The companions would go on to spread the message of Islam far and wide, carrying on the mission that the Prophet had started. The death of the Prophet was a test for his companions, but it also served as a reminder of the temporary nature of this world and the importance of preparing for the Hereafter. The passing of the Prophet Muhammad was a moment of great sadness for his companions and followers, but it also served as a reminder of the mercy and blessings of Allah. The Prophet had completed his mission on earth, and his legacy would continue to inspire generations of believers to come. The death of the Prophet was a reminder of the impermanence of life and the importance of following the teachings of Islam.Similar Posts
