Building the Kaaba with Isma'il from "summary" of Stories of the Prophets by Ismāʻīl ibn ʻUmar Ibn Kathīr

The Kaaba was raised by the hands of Isma'il, the son of Ibrahim. When Ibrahim left Isma'il and his mother Hajar in the barren valley of Mecca, he prayed for their well-being and the guidance of Allah. As Isma'il grew older, his father Ibrahim visited him and told him about a vision he had received from Allah. In this vision, Allah commanded Ibrahim to build the Kaaba with the help of Isma'il. Together, Ibrahim and Isma'il set out to fulfill this divine command. They searched for the sacred site where the Kaaba would be built. When they found the designated spot, Ibrahim began to lay the foundations of the Kaaba while Isma'il fetched the stones for construction. As they worked side by side, father and son bonded over their shared task of building the holiest site in Islam. Isma'il's obedience and dedication to this monumental task were evident as he followed his father's instructions without question. He worked tirelessly to gather the necessary materials and assist Ibrahim in every aspect of the construction. The father and son duo worked in harmony, united in their faith and devotion to Allah's command. The construction of the Kaaba with Isma'il was a testament to their unwavering faith and submission to the will of Allah. It symbolized the importance of family, obedience, and the power of unity in fulfilling religious duties. The legacy of Isma'il's role in building the Kaaba continues to inspire Muslims around the world, reminding them of the importance of upholding the teachings of Islam and the significance of working together in the path of righteousness.
