Adam and Eve's disobedience from "summary" of Stories of the Prophets by Ismāʻīl ibn ʻUmar Ibn Kathīr

When Allah created Adam and Eve, He placed them in the paradise of bliss and allowed them to eat from any tree except for one. Allah warned them that Satan was their enemy and that they should be cautious of him. Satan, in his arrogance, tricked Adam and Eve into eating from the forbidden tree by promising them eternal life and kingship. They both succumbed to his deception and ate from the tree, disobeying Allah's command. Upon realizing their mistake, Adam and Eve felt ashamed and tried to cover themselves with leaves from the paradise. Allah knew of their disobedience and informed them that they had been deceived by Satan. He then expelled them from paradise and sent them down to earth as punishment for their disobedience.
