Siddhartha finds fulfillment in simplicity from "summary" of Siddharta by Hermann Hesse

In the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment, Siddhartha realizes that simplicity is the key to finding true fulfillment. He discovers that material possessions and societal expectations only serve to distract him from his inner journey towards self-discovery. By simplifying his life and letting go of worldly attachments, Siddhartha is able to focus on the essential aspects of his being. Throughout his quest, Siddhartha encounters various teachers and experiences that shape his understanding of simplicity. He learns from the ferryman Vasudeva that true wisdom comes from listening to the river and being in tune with the natural rhythms of life. By embracing a simple life by the river, Siddhartha gains a deeper insight into the interconnectedness of all things and the transient nature of existence. Siddhartha's rejection of material wealth and social status represents his rejection of a superficial way of living. Instead, he chooses to live a life of simplicity and contemplation, seeking wisdom from within rather than from external sources. This decision allows Siddhartha to strip away the layers of illusion and ego that have clouded his perception, leading him closer to enlightenment. By renouncing his former life of luxury and privilege, Siddhartha finds freedom in simplicity. He no longer feels burdened by societal expectations or the need to conform to a certain standard of living. Instead, he is able to live authentically and in harmony with his true self, unencumbered by the distractions of the material world. In embracing simplicity, Siddhartha discovers a profound sense of peace and contentment that he had been searching for all along. He realizes that true fulfillment does not come from external achievements or possessions, but from an inner sense of harmony and balance. This realization marks a turning point in Siddhartha's spiritual journey, as he learns to let go of his attachments and embrace the simplicity of being.
