Siddhartha experiences the interconnectedness of all beings from "summary" of Siddharta by Hermann Hesse

Siddhartha sat by the river, listening to the gentle flow of water and feeling the warmth of the sun on his skin. As he watched the ripples in the water, he began to see the interconnectedness of all beings. He realized that just as the river flowed into the sea and the sun shone on all living creatures, so too were all beings connected in a vast web of existence. The realization filled Siddhartha with a sense of peace and understanding. He saw that his own suffering was not separate from the suffering of others, but rather a part of the larger tapestry of life. In this moment of clarity, Siddhartha felt a deep compassion for all living beings, knowing that their joys and sorrows were intertwined with his own. As he looked around, Siddhartha saw the trees swaying in the breeze, the birds soaring in the sky, and the fish swimming in the river. He saw that each living creature played a role in the greater symphony of existence, each one dependent on the others for their survival and well-being. Siddhartha felt a profound sense of gratitude for the interconnectedness of all beings, knowing that he was not alone in his journey through life. In that moment, Siddhartha understood that true enlightenment lay in recognizing the unity of all things. He saw that the separation he had felt from the world around him was an illusion, and that in truth, he was deeply connected to every living being. With this new understanding, Siddhartha felt a sense of oneness with the universe, knowing that he was but a small part of a much larger whole. And so, Siddhartha sat by the river, basking in the warmth of the sun and the knowledge that he was a part of something much greater than himself. He knew that the interconnectedness of all beings was not just a concept, but a living reality that he could feel in every breath he took and every beat of his heart.
