Trust your instincts and act upon them from "summary" of Screw It, Let's Do It by Sir Richard Branson

When faced with a decision, it is crucial to trust your instincts. Your instincts are like an internal compass, guiding you towards the right path. They are the result of your past experiences, knowledge, and intuition, and can often provide valuable insights that your rational mind may overlook. Acting upon your instincts is equally important. It is not enough to simply acknowledge them – you must take action based on them. This requires courage and a willingness to take risks, as well as a certain level of self-assuredness in your own judgment. In my own life and career, I have relied heavily on my instincts to make decisions – from starting my first business to embarking on new ventures. While logic and reason are important, there are times when you must simply trust your gut and go for it. Of course, blindly following your instincts without any rational thought is not advisable. It is essential to strike a balance between intuition and intellect, using both to inform your decisions. By combining the two, you can harness the power of your instincts while still maintaining a level-headed approach.
  1. Trusting your instincts and acting upon them is about having faith in yourself and your abilities. It is about being bold and fearless in the face of uncertainty, and having the confidence to pursue your goals despite any doubts or obstacles that may stand in your way. It is a powerful tool that can help you navigate the challenges of life and achieve success in whatever you set out to do.
