Abduction of Sita by Ravana from "summary" of Scion of Ikshvaku by Amish,Amish Tripathi
The moment Ravana saw Sita, his heart was captured by her beauty. He knew he had to possess her, no matter the consequences. Driven by desire, he concocted a plan to abduct her. With the help of Maricha, a shape-shifting demon, Ravana disguised himself as a mendicant and approached Sita in the guise of a humble seeker of alms. Sita, being the compassionate and kind-hearted woman that she was, offered food and water to the disguised Ravana. Little did she know that this seemingly innocent act of generosity would lead to her ultimate capture. As she stepped out of the protective circle drawn by Lakshman, Ravana seized the opportunity and abducted her, flying away in his flying chariot towards Lanka. The abduction of Sita caused a ripple effect in the kingdom of Ayodhya. Ram, Sita's husband and the prince of Ayodhya, was devastated by her disappearance. He vowed to find her and bring her back at any cost. Thus began Ram's epic journey to rescue his beloved wife from the clutches of the demon king, Ravana.- The abduction of Sita not only tested the love and devotion between Ram and Sita but also highlighted the eternal battle between good and evil. It showcased the power of love to overcome all obstacles and the triumph of righteousness over darkness. Ram's unwavering determination to rescue Sita and Ravana's insatiable desire for her set the stage for the epic battle that would ultimately shape the fate of the world.
