Hadiths on the signs of the Hour from "summary" of Sahih Muslim Recueil des Hadiths authentiques du Prophete 1-2 Vol 1 by Muslim ibn al-hajjaj al-Nisaburi

In the course of his mission, the Prophet (peace be upon him) foretold certain signs which would herald the approach of the Last Hour. These signs constitute part of the unseen world, knowledge of which is bestowed only upon the Prophets. The signs of the Hour are part of the knowledge which Allah has reserved for Himself, and which He shares with His Prophets. The Prophet (peace be upon him) informed his followers about these signs in order to warn them of the approaching Day of Judgment and to urge them to prepare for it by living a righteous life. The signs of the Hour are not meant to satisfy mere curiosity or to provide entertainment. They serve a serious purpose, namely to remind people of the transitory nature of this world and to urge them to prepare for the Hereafter. The signs of the Hour are of two kinds: minor signs and major signs. The minor signs are those which have already occurred or are occurring now, while the major signs are those which have not yet occurred but which will take place shortly before the coming of the Hour. The minor signs include the spread of ignorance, the prevalence of immorality, the increase in earthquakes and natural disasters, the outbreak of wars and conflicts, the widespread oppression and injustice, and the prevalence of false prophets and messiahs. These signs were foretold by the Prophet (peace be upon him) and are now being fulfilled before our very eyes. The major signs of the Hour are even more terrifying and awe-inspiring. They include the appearance of the Dajjal or Antichrist, the descent of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) from heaven, the emergence of Gog and Magog, the rising of the sun in the west, the coming of a beast from the earth, and the blowing of the Trumpet by the Angel Israfil. These signs will herald the coming of the Hour and the end of the world as we know it. The Prophet (peace be upon him) warned his followers to be prepared for these signs and to take them seriously. He urged them to turn to Allah in repentance and to seek His forgiveness before it is too late. The signs of the Hour are a reminder of the fleeting nature of this world and the certainty of the Hereafter. They serve as a wake-up call to all those who are heedless and indifferent to the signs of Allah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) urged his followers to be vigilant and to prepare
