National recognition and awards from "summary" of Rosa Parks My Story by Rosa Parks,Haskins Parks

Throughout my life, I have been fortunate enough to receive national recognition and awards for my actions and contributions. These accolades have not only served as a validation of my efforts, but have also helped to bring attention to important social issues. One of the most significant recognitions I have received was the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which was bestowed upon me by President Bill Clinton in 1996. This prestigious award is the highest civilian honor in the United States, and I was deeply humbled to be selected as a recipient. The Medal of Freedom served as a powerful symbol of the progress that had been made in the fight for civil rights, and I was proud to accept it on behalf of all those who had worked tirelessly alongside me. In addition to the Presidential Medal of Freedom, I have also been honored with numerous other awards and accolades, including the Congressional Gold Medal, the Spingarn Medal, and the NAACP's highest award, the Springarn Medal. These recognitions have not only celebrated my own contributions to the civil rights movement, but have also helped to shine a spotlight on the ongoing struggle for equality and justice. Receiving national recognition and awards has been a deeply humbling experience for me, as it has allowed me to reflect on the impact of my actions and the progress that has been made in the fight for civil rights. While I am grateful for the honors that have been bestowed upon me, I am even more grateful for the opportunity to continue fighting for justice and equality for all.
