Continued activism from "summary" of Rosa Parks My Story by Rosa Parks,Haskins Parks

After my stand on the bus that day, I knew that I had to keep fighting for what was right. I couldn't just sit back and let things stay the same. I had to continue to speak out against injustice and inequality. This was not just a one-time act of defiance; it was a commitment to a lifetime of activism. I joined the Montgomery Improvement Association and worked alongside other dedicated individuals like Martin Luther King Jr. We organized boycotts, protests, and marches to demand equal rights for African Americans. We faced violence, intimidation, and threats, but we never wavered in our determination to bring about change. Even after the Montgomery Bus Boycott ended and segregation on buses was declared unconstitutional, I didn't stop fighting. I continued to be involved in the civil rights movement, traveling around the country to speak at rallies and events. I knew that the struggle for equality was far from over, and I was determined to do my part to make a difference. I met with politicians, wrote letters, and participated in nonviolent demonstrations to raise awareness about the injustices that African Americans faced. I believed that every person had a responsibility to stand up for what they believed in and to fight for a better future for all. My activism was not just about me; it was about the countless others who had been denied their rights and their dignity. I wanted to be a voice for the voiceless, a champion for those who had been oppressed and marginalized. I knew that my actions mattered and that they could inspire others to join the fight for justice. I never sought fame or recognition for what I did. I simply believed in the power of ordinary people to change the world. I knew that each small act of resistance could make a difference and that together, we could create a more just and equal society. And so, I continued to speak out, to march, to protest, and to fight for what was right.
