The poor dad in my life believed that the only way to earn money was to work hard for it. He thought that success was directly proportional to the amount of time and effort you put into your job. He believed in climbing the corporate ladder, getting a secure job with good benefits, and working tirelessly to earn a paycheck. For him, the idea of starting a business or investing in assets was too risky and out of reach. He preferred the safety and stability of a steady job, even if it meant sacrificing his time and freedom. He believed that financial security could only be achieved through hard work and perseverance in the traditional sense of employment. His mindset was shaped by his upbringing and the societal norms that dictated the value of hard work and dedication. He never questioned the status quo or considered alternative paths to financial success. He was content with the idea of trading time for money, believing that it was the only way to provide for his family and secure his future.
