When you say no, you're only saying no to one thing. When you say yes, you're saying no to a thousand other things. Saying no is easier, because you can say no to anything. It's not a big deal. But when you say yes, you're definitely saying no to something else. That yes is a big deal. It's a big deal because you can't do anything else while you're doing that thing you just said yes to.
When you say no, you have fewer things to worry about. No is a decision. Yes is a responsibility. Yes is something you have to do. Yes is something you're going to have to follow up on. Yes is an obligation. Saying no frees you up. Saying no makes it easier to say yes when it really matters.
