Confronting police brutality from "summary" of Revolutionary Suicide by Huey P. Newton
The struggle against police brutality is an essential part of our fight for justice and equality. The police are the front line of the oppressive system that seeks to keep us down and maintain the status quo. They are the enforcers of a system that is rigged against us, and they use their power to intimidate, harass, and even kill us. Confronting police brutality means standing up to the forces that seek to oppress us, and refusing to be cowed by their violence. It means demanding accountability for their actions, and insisting that they be held responsible for the harm they cause. It means challenging the narrative that they are the protectors of society, and exposing them for what they really are - a tool of the ruling class to keep us in line. We cannot afford to turn a blind eye to police brutality, or to dismiss it as a few bad apples. The problem runs much deeper than that, and it is a systemic issue that requires a systemic solution. We must be willing to confront the uncomfortable truths about the police, and to take a stand against their abuses of power. This is not an easy fight, and it is not one that we can win overnight. But it is a fight that we must engage in, if we are to create a more just and equitable society for ourselves and for future generations. We must be willing to put ourselves on the line, to risk our safety and our freedom, in order to bring about real change. Confronting police brutality is a necessary and vital part of our struggle for liberation. It is a fight that we cannot afford to shy away from, and one that we must be willing to take on with all of our strength and determination. We must be prepared to make sacrifices, to endure hardship, and to stand together in solidarity with all those who are oppressed and marginalized. Only then can we hope to build a better world for ourselves and for all those who come after us.Similar Posts
