Embracing change with openness is acceptance from "summary" of Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach

To truly embrace change with openness is to acknowledge and make space for the reality of what is unfolding in our lives. It is about letting go of our resistance and allowing ourselves to be present with whatever is arising, both internally and externally. When we resist change, we are essentially saying no to life itself, closing ourselves off from the endless possibilities and opportunities that each moment holds. By choosing to remain open and receptive, we are able to cultivate a sense of curiosity and wonder towards the unknown, rather than fear or aversion. Acceptance is not about passively resigning ourselves to whatever comes our way, but rather about meeting each experience with equanimity and compassion. It is an active process of engaging with life as it is, rather than how we wish it to be. When we accept change with openness, we are able to see the inherent beauty and value in every moment, even amidst the difficulties and challenges that may arise. This does not mean that we have to like or agree with everything that happens, but rather that we are willing to acknowledge and honor the truth of our experience. Through the practice of radical acceptance, we learn to let go of our fixed ideas and expectations, allowing for a greater sense of freedom and flexibility in how we relate to the world around us. This does not mean that we become passive or indifferent, but rather that we become more skillful in navigating the complexities of life with grace and resilience. By embracing change with openness, we are able to tap into a deep well of inner wisdom and strength that allows us to move through life with greater ease and clarity. When we resist change, we are essentially resisting growth and transformation, clinging to outdated patterns and beliefs that no longer serve us. By embracing change with openness, we are able to step into the fullness of our being, embracing the ever-changing nature of life with curiosity and courage. This is not always easy, and may require us to confront our fears and insecurities head-on, but the rewards of such a practice are immeasurable. In letting go of our resistance and welcoming change with an open heart, we are able to cultivate a sense of peace and wholeness that transcends the limitations of our conditioned mind.
