Letting go of negative thoughts does not mean ignoring or suppressing them. It means acknowledging their presence and then choosing to redirect our focus to more constructive and uplifting thoughts. It is like turning the channel on a TV when a program becomes too negative or disturbing. We have the power to choose what we allow into our minds and hearts, and we must exercise that power with intention and care. In the practice of letting go of negative thoughts, we may encounter resistance and discomfort. Our minds are wired to seek out patterns and familiar narratives, even if they are harmful. But by gently guiding our thoughts back to a place of peace and positivity, we can retrain our brains to default to a more balanced and healthy state. It is a gradual process that requires patience and perseverance, but the rewards are well worth the effort.
