Moreover, psychopaths are skilled at mimicking socially appropriate behaviors, making it difficult for therapists to discern genuine progress from superficial compliance. The core features of psychopathy, including impulsivity and a lack of remorse, are deeply ingrained in the individual's personality structure, leading to high rates of treatment dropout and noncompliance.
