Global capitalism exploits vulnerable populations for profit from "summary" of Profit Over People by Noam Chomsky

In the workings of global capitalism, profit is the primary goal, and everything else - including the well-being of vulnerable populations - is secondary. The logic of capitalism dictates that in order to maximize profit, corporations must seek out the cheapest sources of labor and raw materials. This often leads to the exploitation of vulnerable populations, who are willing to work for lower wages under dire conditions. In countries where labor laws are weak or non-existent, corporations can exploit workers with impunity. These vulnerable populations are forced to work long hours in unsafe conditions for little pay, all in the name of maximizing profit for the corporation. The profits generated by this exploitation are then used to further enrich those at the top of the capitalist hierarchy, creating a vicious cycle of exploitation and inequality. Furthermore, global capitalism is not limited to exploiting vulnerable populations for cheap labor. It also exploits these populations by extracting resources from their communities, often without their consent or fair compensation. This resource extraction not only harms the environment and disrupts local economies, but it also perpetuates a cycle of poverty and dependence on foreign corporations.
  1. And it will stop at nothing to achieve its goals, even if it means exploiting the most vulnerable members of society. This unchecked pursuit of profit has devastating consequences for vulnerable populations around the world, who are left to bear the brunt of the exploitation while the wealthy few continue to amass wealth at their expense. Ultimately, the concept of global capitalism exploiting vulnerable populations for profit is a stark reminder of the inherent injustices and inequalities perpetuated by the capitalist system.
