Force is temporary and destructive from "summary" of Power vs. Force by David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.

Force operates in the realm of the material world, where all things are subject to the laws of physics. It is a finite and limited energy, arising from the physical body and the ego. Like all things in the physical universe, force is subject to the principle of entropy. It is temporary in nature, requiring constant effort and energy to maintain. Force is rooted in fear, aggression, and the desire to control or dominate others. It is a reflection of a lower level of consciousness, where separation and duality reign supreme. Because force is based on separation, it inevitably leads to conflict and struggle. When we operate from a place of force, we are in a constant state of competition with others. This leads to a never-ending cycle of resistance and opposition, as each party seeks to assert their will over the other. In this way, force is inherently destructive. It destroys relationships, communities, and ultimately, the self. Force is a blunt instrument, lacking the subtlety and finesse of true power. It seeks to impose its will through coercion and manipulation, rather than through inspiration and influence. Force may achieve short-term gains, but it is ultimately unsustainable. Like a house built on sand, it is destined to crumble under the weight of its own limitations. In contrast, power is rooted in love, compassion, and a deep sense of connection to all beings. It is a reflection of a higher level of consciousness, where unity and harmony are the guiding principles. Power is enduring and sustainable, requiring no effort to maintain. It flows effortlessly, like a river, finding the path of least resistance. When we operate from a place of power, we are in alignment with the natural laws of the universe. We attract to us that which is in harmony with our true selves, rather than repelling it through force. Power is creative and life-giving, nurturing the growth and evolution of all beings. It is the force that sustains the cosmos, keeping the stars in their courses and the planets in their orbits.
