As my career in professional cricket began to come to a close, I knew that I had to start thinking about life after retirement. It wasn't an easy decision to make, as cricket had been my life for so many years. The transition from being a professional cricketer to a retired one was a daunting prospect, but one that I knew I had to face. I started preparing for retirement by thinking about what I wanted to do next. I knew that I wanted to stay involved in the game in some capacity, whether it was through coaching, mentoring, or working with young players. Cricket was my passion, and I couldn't imagine a life without it. As the end of my career drew nearer, I began to feel a mix of emotions - excitement for the new opportunities that awaited me, but also sadness at the thought of leaving behind the game that had been such a big part of my life.
