Embrace vulnerability as a source of strength from "summary" of Open Secret by Jalāl al-Dīn Rūmī (Maulana)

This world is a place of paradoxes and contradictions. We are taught to believe that vulnerability is a weakness, something to be ashamed of and hidden away. But what if vulnerability is not a weakness at all? What if, in fact, it is a source of great strength? In the depths of our vulnerability lies our true power. When we allow ourselves to be open and honest about our fears, our insecurities, our doubts, we are allowing ourselves to be truly human. And in that humanity, in that rawness and authenticity, lies a strength that is unmatched. When we embrace our vulnerability, we are no longer afraid of being hurt or rejected. We are no longer bound by the chains of our own fear. Instead, we are free to be ourselves, fully and completely. And in that freedom, we find a strength that can move mountains. It is in our vulnerability that we find connection with others. When we are willing to show our true selves, flaws and all, we create space for others to do the same. And in that space, we find a deep sense of belonging and community that can support us through even the darkest of times. So let us embrace our vulnerability, not as a weakness to be hidden away, but as a strength to be celebrated. Let us be brave enough to show our true selves to the world, and in doing so, find the true power that lies within each and every one of us.
