Luffy's crew meets Laboon from "summary" of One Piece, Vol. 2 by Eiichiro Oda
Luffy and his crew come across a whale named Laboon who has been alone for many years, waiting for his long-lost friends to return. Luffy and crew promise to help Laboon reunite with his friends, embarking on an adventure full of danger and excitement.- Luffy's crew encountered a giant whale known as Laboon on their journey. They were all surprised to see the size and grandeur of the majestic creature. The powerful force of the waves that Laboon created shook the ship and presented them with an awe-inspiring sight!
- Luffy’s crew carried with them some gifts for the whale like fruits and vegetables as well as several pieces of candy. Laboon seemed overwhelmed to receive such kind treatments from these strangers and accepted them wholeheartedly. Furthermore, they took out the rope that had tied Laboon earlier and freed him from its clutches!
- Luffy was the first one to make contact with Laboon by diving into the water. He laid his hands on the whale’s head, tapping it playfully in excitement and admiration for the wondrous being. This gesture caught optics of everyone around and Laboon seemed to enjoy it too!
- After freeing Laboon from the ropes, Luffy’s crew tried to communicate with him by pounding and yelling at the sea surface. Remarkably, Laboon responded in kind using bursts of unison screams. It almost sounded like Laboon was giving his own rendition of ‘thank you’ back to the splendid crew!
- As the members of Luffy’s crew gave adieus to the gentle giant, Laboon stayed put and kept watching until the ship left the horizon. It seemed like he found genuine and happy memories with the crew and wanted to hold onto them longer before fading away. A truly heartening moment for everyone present!
