Justice will be served from "summary" of One of Us Is Next by Karen M. McManus

Justice is a complicated thing. It isn't always straightforward, and it doesn't always come easily. But in the end, it's what we all want, isn't it? To see the guilty pay for their crimes, to see things set right again. We crave that sense of balance, that feeling that the world isn't as chaotic and unfair as it sometimes seems. In Creekwood, justice is something we take seriously. When someone is wronged, we don't just sit back and let it happen. We fight back. We stand up for what's right, no matter how hard it might be. And when someone crosses the line, when they hurt others or break the rules, we make sure they face the consequences. But justice isn't always easy to come by. Sometimes it takes time, effort, and sacrifice. We have to be patient, we have to be persistent, and we have to be willing to do whatever it takes to see things through. It's not always glamorous or exciting, but it's necessary. And when justice is finally served, when we see the guilty brought to account for their actions, it's a moment of triumph. It's a reminder that we can make a difference, that we can stand up to those who would do us harm. It's a validation of everything we believe in, everything we stand for. And it gives us hope that, no matter how dark things may seem, there is still light to be found.
