Posture reveals hidden emotions from "summary" of O LIVRO SECRETO DA HABILIDADE EM LINGUAGEM CORPORAL by ANDRE L D CUNHA
The way we carry ourselves can speak volumes about what we are truly feeling inside. Our posture can reveal emotions that we may not even be aware of ourselves. It is like a window into our hidden thoughts and feelings, exposing them to the world without us even realizing it. When we are feeling confident and self-assured, our posture tends to be upright and open. We stand tall, shoulders back, and head held high. This body language signals to others that we are in control and sure of ourselves. On the other hand, when we are feeling insecure or anxious, our posture may slump or hunch over. We may cross our arms or fidget nervously, unconsciously trying to protect ourselves from perceived threats. Our posture can also betray our true emotions in more subtle ways. For example, when we are feeling defensive or closed off, we may unconsciously create barriers with our body. We might cross our legs, fold our arms, or turn away from the person we are speaking to. These actions signal to others that we are not fully engaged or open to communication. Similarly, our posture can indicate when we are feeling stressed or overwhelmed. We may tense our muscles, clench our jaw, or hold our breath without even realizing it. These physical manifestations of stress can be interpreted by others as signs of inner turmoil, even if we are trying to hide our true feelings. By paying attention to our own posture and being mindful of the messages it may be sending, we can gain valuable insights into our own emotions. Similarly, by observing the posture of others, we can better understand their feelings and respond with empathy and understanding. Posture truly is a language of its own, revealing hidden emotions that words alone cannot convey.Similar Posts
