Grappling with existential angst from "summary" of No Longer Human by 太宰治

I found myself constantly tormented by a profound sense of emptiness and meaninglessness that seemed to pervade every aspect of my existence. It was as if I were trapped in a never-ending cycle of despair and disillusionment, unable to break free from the suffocating grip of my own thoughts and emotions. Every day was a struggle to find some semblance of purpose or direction in my life, but no matter how hard I tried, I always seemed to come up empty-handed. It was as if the very essence of my being had been stripped away, leaving behind nothing but a hollow shell of a man who was no longer capable of feeling anything but the crushing weight of his own despair. I would often find myself questioning the nature of reality and the meaning of life itself, searching for some glimmer of hope or understanding in the vast expanse of the universe. But the more I searched, the more elusive the answers seemed to become, slipping through my fingers like sand in a desert. I was consumed by a sense of existential dread, a gnawing fear that I was nothing more than a small, insignificant speck in the grand scheme of things. It was a feeling of utter powerlessness, of being adrift in a sea of uncertainty and doubt, with no solid ground to stand on or anchor my soul to. And so, I found myself grappling with the overwhelming weight of my own existence, struggling to find some sense of meaning or purpose in a world that seemed intent on crushing my spirit at every turn. It was a battle that I fought with every fiber of my being, a constant struggle to make sense of a reality that was as cruel and unforgiving as it was indifferent to my suffering.
