Kakashi challenges Team 7 with bell test from "summary" of Naruto 1 by Masashi Kishimoto
In the early days of their training, Kakashi decided to put Team 7 to the test with a challenging exercise. He informed Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura that their mission was to obtain the two bells he kept on his waist. This task may seem simple, but Kakashi warned them that only two of the three members would be allowed to keep their place on the team. The one who failed to get a bell would be sent back to the academy for further training, a fate no one wanted.
The team quickly realized that this test was not about the bells, but about teamwork and strategy. Kakashi purposely put them in a difficult situation to see how they would handle it.
