Your identity is not fixed and can be changed from "summary" of Models by Mark Manson

Our identities are not fixed. They are not set in stone for eternity. Just because we acted a certain way in the past doesn't mean we have to act the same way in the future. Our identities are fluid, constantly shifting and evolving based on our thoughts, actions, and experiences. We have the power to change who we are at any moment. This concept can be incredibly empowering. It means that we are not bound by our past mistakes or failures. We have the ability to reinvent ourselves, to become the person we truly want to be. It's a liberating idea - the idea that we are not defined by our past, but rather by our present actions and choices. Of course, changing our identity is not easy. It requires self-awareness, introspection, and a willingness to step outside of our comfort zones. It involves challenging our beliefs, questioning our assumptions, and pushing ourselves to grow and evolve. But the rewards are immense. By recognizing that our identities are not fixed, we open ourselves up to endless possibilities. We can choose to let go of limiting beliefs and embrace new ways of thinking. We can break free from old patterns of behavior and create new, more empowering habits. We can redefine who we are and what we stand for.
  1. The power to change our identities lies within each of us. It is up to us to take ownership of our lives and decide who we want to be. So why not embrace the idea that our identities are not fixed, but rather malleable and ever-changing? Who do you want to be? And what are you willing to do to become that person?
