As you climb higher and higher, the lines between right and wrong blur, morality becomes a quaint relic of a simpler time. You start to believe that the ends justify the means, that your actions, no matter how despicable, are justified in the pursuit of power. You surround yourself with sycophants and yes-men, people who tell you what you want to hear, shielding you from the harsh truth of your own corruption. Before you know it, you've become a monster, a twisted caricature of the person you once were. Compassion is a weakness, empathy a liability. You crush anyone who dares to stand in your way, leaving a trail of broken lives in your wake. But still, you hunger for more, the power becoming an addiction that consumes every waking moment. And yet, deep down, a small voice whispers in the darkness, reminding you of the person you used to be, the person you could have been if you had never tasted the forbidden fruit of power. But by then, it's too late. The corruption has taken root, twisting your soul beyond recognition. Power, once a beacon of hope, has become a curse, a burden that will drag you down into the depths of your own depravity.
