In the relentless heat of summer, grief settled on us like a heavy blanket. We sought to escape its suffocating grip, to find a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness that threatened to consume us. We turned to each other, seeking solace in our shared pain, in the memories of the ones we had lost. We clung to the fragments of joy that remained, like lifelines in a stormy sea.
