The first Jalsa Salana was a momentous occasion for the Ahmadiyya community, as it marked the first time the community had gathered in one place to celebrate their faith. Held in Qadian, Punjab, this event marked the start of the annual conventions which bring together the members from every corner of the world. Still today, more than 200 countries come together to honor the legacy of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, who established Ahmadiyya Muslim Community as a revivalist movement emanating from Islam.
