Happiness depends on attitude from "summary" of “Luck, I don’t think so!!! by Marla Almaraz

Our attitude towards life determines how happy or unhappy we are. A positive attitude can help us to keep our spirits up no matter how difficult the situation may be. It is up to us to choose to be happy or not.
  1. Happiness is dependent on how we think and act in various situations. With a positive attitude, we are more likely to explore new opportunities and be content with the outcome, even if it does not turn out as initially expected.

  3. Reflection on why you're truly happy - in order to differentiate between superficial pleasures versus meaningful experiences - can further enhance your sense of wellness.
  4. Surrounding yourself with supportive people and receiving encouragement from those close to you or even strangers can help give you the courage and inspiration to stay motivated and continue to stay upbeat.
  5. It is important to note that ones' internal dialogue has an immense impact on their level of wellbeing - so learning to replace any demeaning self-talk with constructive words and affirmations can make lasting changes.
  6. Making short and long term goals that personally motivate us and define what makes us feel fulfilled gives us reason to push ourselves each day, knowing that they will eventually bring happiness.
  7. Don't forget that being kind to others and spreading happiness around deepens the sense of joyfulness within us. Doing for others without expecting anything in return is one of the greatest gifts one can give themselves.
  8. Knowing your triggers - i.e. psychological factors which may increase feeling of being overwhelmed - and taking steps to eradicate these can significantly contribute to sustained levels of contentment.
  9. Allowing time for yourself allows your body and mind to relax and relieve stress, bringing back our focus on attitude rather than allowing it to wander into areas of despair.
  10. Last but not least, accepting that some things cannot be changed and making peace with this reality can be immensely liberating.
