Release the need for approval from "summary" of Love for Imperfect Things by Haemin Sunim

Releasing the need for approval is like removing a heavy burden from our shoulders. When we constantly seek validation from others, we give away our power to them. We become dependent on their opinions to feel good about ourselves. In doing so, we lose touch with our own inner wisdom and authenticity. We forget that our worth is not determined by the approval of others, but by how we value ourselves. When we release the need for approval, we free ourselves from the limitations imposed by seeking external validation. We no longer feel the constant pressure to conform to others' expectations or to prove our worthiness. Instead, we learn to trust our own judgment and to embrace our imperfections as part of our unique beauty. Releasing the need for approval allows us to cultivate a deep sense of self-compassion and acceptance. We can embrace our flaws and mistakes without fear of judgment or rejection. We can be kind to ourselves, knowing that we are inherently worthy of love and respect. By letting go of the need for approval, we can truly be ourselves and live authentically. When we release the need for approval, we open ourselves up to genuine connections with others. We no longer seek validation from external sources, but instead, we can form relationships based on mutual respect and understanding. We can be vulnerable and open with others, knowing that our worth is not dependent on their approval. Releasing the need for approval is a liberating act of self-love. It allows us to break free from the chains of seeking external validation and to embrace our true selves. When we let go of the need for approval, we can live with authenticity, confidence, and compassion. We can truly love ourselves for who we are, imperfections and all.
