When it comes to teaching children how to behave, actions speak louder than words. Children are keen observers and tend to model the behavior they see in adults. This means that as parents, caregivers, or educators, we must be mindful of the behaviors we exhibit in front of children. If we want children to exhibit positive behaviors, we must first demonstrate those behaviors ourselves. Modeling positive behavior is essential because it sets the tone for how children should act. If children see adults using respectful language, showing empathy, and handling conflicts calmly, they are more likely to emulate those behaviors.
