Brian's life spirals out of control from "summary" of Limitless by Alan Glynn

Brian's life was like a carefully constructed house of cards, each card delicately balanced on top of the other. But when he was introduced to the mysterious drug NZT-48, it was as if someone had come along and flicked the first card. Suddenly, everything started to crumble. At first, Brian's newfound abilities seemed like a blessing. He was able to absorb information at an alarming rate, solve complex problems with ease, and charm his way into any situation. But as he delved deeper into the effects of the drug, he realized that there was a dark side to his enhanced intellect. As Brian's usage of NZT-48 increased, so did the risks. He became entangled in a dangerous world of crime and corruption, using his newfound powers to manipulate those around him for personal gain. The line between right and wrong blurred as he struggled to maintain his grip on reality. With each pill he took, Brian's sense of self slipped further away. He became paranoid and erratic, unable to trust even those closest to him. His once promising future seemed to fade into the distance as he spiraled deeper into the web of deceit and danger that NZT-48 had woven around him. As Brian's life spun out of control, he found himself teetering on the edge of a precipice with no clear way back. The drug that had promised to unlock his potential had instead unleashed a nightmare that threatened to consume him whole. And as the consequences of his actions began to catch up with him, Brian was forced to confront the harsh reality of what his pursuit of limitless power had cost him.
