Addiction to limitless pill is dangerous from "summary" of Limitless by Alan Glynn
The idea that you could just keep taking the pill indefinitely, that you could just keep on getting smarter and smarter and smarter, that you could push your intelligence level up and up and up, that you could access the full potential of your brain, that you could make yourself limitless-- it was all so seductive. But it was also dangerous. Because once you start down that road, once you start relying on the pill to solve all your problems, to make you better than everyone else, to make you invincible, then you're in trouble. You're in trouble because you're no longer in control. You're no longer the one calling the shots. The pill is. And the pill doesn't care about you. The pill doesn't care about your well-being. The pill doesn't care about the consequences of your actions. All the pill cares about is getting you to take more of it. All the pill cares about is keeping you hooked. And once you're hooked, once you're dependent on the pill to function, then you're trapped. You're trapped in a cycle of addiction that's hard to break. You're trapped in a cycle of craving and withdrawal that's hard to escape. And before you know it, you're no longer taking the pill to get ahead, to be successful, to be happy. You're taking the pill just to feel normal, just to feel like yourself. But the truth is, you're not yourself anymore. You're someone else. Someone who's always chasing that next high, that next hit of brilliance. Someone who's always looking for that next fix. And in the end, you're left empty. Empty and alone. Because the pill can't fill the void inside you. The pill can't make you whole. Only you can do that. Only you can find true fulfillment, true happiness, true success. And it's not by relying on a pill. It's by relying on yourself.Similar Posts
