In our pursuit of artistic fulfillment, fame and recognition were distant concerns. We were driven by a shared passion for self-expression, for creating art that moved us and hopefully others. Our days were consumed by our art, by our dreams of making a mark on the world. As we navigated the bustling New York City art scene, we encountered many who sought fame and recognition above all else. They were willing to compromise their integrity, to sacrifice their artistic vision for a shot at stardom. We, on the other hand, remained true to ourselves, steadfast in our commitment to our craft. Despite our best efforts to remain focused on our art, fame and recognition inevitably crept into our consciousness.
