Ignorance of dream's truthfulness from "summary" of ঝরা-পালক / Jhora-Palok (Bengali) by জীবনানন্দ দাশ (Jibanananda Das)
Dreams can be unpredictable and their truthfulness is unknown. It is possible to be ignorant of the actuality of a dream, not realizing that the dream's contents may be a reflection of reality.- People's dreams are often far from the truth and no one realizes this more than those that never bother to assess them. Ignorance of the facts surrounding a dream often leads to painful realities.
- Oftentimes we get so caught up in daydreaming that we forget there’s still reality to face. It is easy to be blind to any warning signs of danger while following these dreams, leading to significant consequences.
- We tend to think that our dreams will magically come true with little effort, when in fact they require careful planning and hard work. When the truth is ignored, disappointment is not far behind.
- If we want to truly achieve our dreams then we must embrace the hard facts and take hold of the reins firmly in hand. Ignorance of the truth may seem easier, but it makes it impossible to bring your dream into fruition.
- Too often people get wrapped up in their own heads dreaming of ethereal fantasies instead of looking squarely at what lies ahead. Abandoning reality for illusions of grandeur clouds judgement and breeds ignorance.
- We fool ourselves into thinking fantasy is real with no understanding of the implications or effort required. Only by opening your eyes to the truth will you break free from illusion and reach the success you seek.
